Theoretically, today should be entirely different. The kids should be in child care. My wife and I should work. I should do workout. Which I miss since we started our vacation more than 2 weeks ago.
Instead, the kids and I are sick with the Flu. What a nice way to start into the new year. 😷 Every 2–3 years, I get so sick that I can’t do anything. Besides lying in bed or on the couch. Which I never do. When I lie on the couch, my wife knows that I’m sick. It’s not unusual that I get sick. But for the most time, it’s just an annoying part of the day. I drink some ginger tea and everything is fine. But now, with fever, it’s a complete different level of sickness.
I hope that this will not interrupt my #100DaysToOffload. My plan was also to start with #TheMonthProject, but I don’t see me starting in this week. 😩
The idea behind #TheMonthProject is to kickstart the new year and dive straight into progress. There are no strict rules—it's simply a helpful tool to engage with your projects or other endeavors. For instance, I plan to complete some of my smaller, older projects and clear them off my plate. However, it's also great if you choose to document your progress on a new health journey, or perhaps share a woodworking project with some photos.
There are no restrictions on when you can start; just decide when you want to begin, and consider making an initial post to announce your Month Project. The new year is always a great time to start fresh.
A fitting motto could be: “Make progress; somehow.”
Guidelines
Here’s everything you need to get started with #TheMonthProject and participate:
Select a topic, or try something different each day.
Set a timeframe of 30 or 31 days.
Aim for daily progress within that timeframe.
Share as much about your progress as you like—daily, every other day, or weekly.
As long as you’re making daily progress, you’re on the right track!
To begin, you can start a blog on Write.as or post on Mastodon, or use any platform you prefer. Just remember to tag each related post with #TheMonthProject so we can find it. 👋
