I’ve Deleted my Twitter X App
It should have happened much earlier, but I had 2 people I still have followed and were not migrated to other networks. I was mostly interested in their doings and not their views. Sadly, they talked more about their views and not their doings.
So I grew tired of opening the app to see what they are up to. Furthermore, I noticed that I was switching to the “for you” tab and watching dumb videos and reading comments, which is a waste of time. I don’t know what was driving me, but I needed to pull the switch.
So I decided to keep the account but delete the app. I had banned the app icon from the Homescreen before to make it harder to access the app. But typing X and hitting enter was not so hard in the end. 😅 So the app needed to go. And it feels good. A bit sad, because i was using the service the last 13 years.
Maybe I can put this new time into writing. Consume less, create more. But it feels so satisfying watching other people life’s. I don’t want it to be so satisfying. 😩
